Why Ripndip sucks

Ripndip is a skate brand mostly seen in Zumiez. A lot of local shops dont supply it. There's multiple reasons why people dont like Ripndip though. It's mostly the owner being a scumbag that causes the hate for ripndip. And the owner doesnt seem to care about how Skaters feel about the brand.

Beating his Girlfriend

The owner, Ryan O'Conner, threw his Girlfriend into a dresser and split her eye open. She publicly told people online, and even had a photo of her injury. And it is not a great sight. In my opinion, that alone should be a reason to not buy from this company. But if that isnt enough reason, Ryan O'Conner can help us give you some more reasons.

Stealing Designs

This one is the most frustrating for me. The owner of ripndip steals designs from smaller artists. For example, on Reddit, there's a small creator named "Sadsac" and that artist made some clothing with images that were before ripndip, and than Ryan O'Conner stole the design and put it on some pants. And I will link the Reddit post below. But that also isnt the only case where Ripndip has stolen from smaller artists.

Kicking Friends off Company

Ryan O'Conner originally had his friends helping him with the company, but he was technically the owner of everything and his friends didnt have any ownership. So he completely ditched his friends and a lot of people dont like that at all. Because he didnt really do any work to build the company up to what it is now, he just stole everything he has. Including the original cat!

Making Fun of Skaters

This is something that not a lot of people know about or talk about, because it isnt seen often. But i've seen Ripndip comment on skaters posts making fun of them. They've said things about how their tricks look like trash and more. But there isnt a lot out there to see that side of Ripndip. I think they quit doing it, but the fact that I've seen them do it at all, makes me turn away from them that much more. But Ripndip also had comments turned off usually, because they know people dont like them. I feel like they turn them off because they cant handle the publics opinion on what they do. Although it looks like they recently turned comments back on, but there's a minimal amount of comments. I think Ripndip could be removing negative comments. But who knows.
